Nestled amid the northern Carpathian Mountains, near the Polish border, this institution stands as a testament to Ukraine’s excellence. It seamlessly integrates sports training for Olympic and Paralympic athletes with concurrent rehabilitation, neuropsychiatric, and mental health programs catering to injured and amputee soldiers/veterans.

In addition to providing rehabilitation programs for wounded veterans, the Western Center has become a safe shelter for 262 internally displaced persons, including 56 children, pregnant women, the elderly, people with disabilities (including those in wheelchairs) who were forced to leave their homes immediately, from regions where military actions are carried out and civilians are dying from bombings.

The Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center is led by Valeriy Sushkevich / Валерій Сушкевич, President of the Ukrainian Paralympics Committee and the head of the National Assembly of Persons with Disabilities of Ukraine.
