A memorandum of cooperation between the Commissioner's Secretariat and the "Be An Angel-Ukraine" Charitable Foundation
A memorandum on cooperation between the Secretariat of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights and the Charitable Organization “Be An Angel-Ukraine Charitable Fund” was signed in the Ombudsman’s Office.
During the meeting, Dmytro Lubinets was telling about the structure of the Ombudsman’s Office and the challenges faced by the institution in connection with Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.
“The purpose of the memorandum is the consolidation of efforts aimed at protecting children’s rights under the conditions of the legal regime of martial law, as well as post-war reconstruction, promoting compliance with the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child,” the Commissioner agreed.
The parties agreed on cooperation in the following directions:
organization and holding of joint events;
mutual exchange of information and materials for the preparation of annual and special reports of the Commissioner;
cooperation in the field of providing the families and children of victims of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation with the necessary support and assistance;
development and joint participation in legal education, communication and advocacy activities, children’s mental health programs.
The memorandum is the basis for the development of further measures aimed at the development of interaction and cooperation between the Office of the Ombudsman and the charitable organization.
